| My name is Sheri Bernard and welcome to my site. My husband and I started out in 1996 owning the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) .. We immediately fell in love with the determination, strength, and intelligence of the breed. Soon after we fell upon a beautiful, blue fawn American Staffordshire Terrier female. Lucy was our very first Am staff. Lucy has given us a wonderful nine years so far. She is the guardian of our children and we have grown to love Lucy and respect her. Her strong, trusting, nature is admirable. She is our foundation. With that being said,, we take the time to learn about the health issues with the AST breed. We do preliminary health testing on our animals. As well as echo cardiac graphs (ECG) This is used to detect heart murmurs. All of our dogs are ATAXIA clear and are also clear of heart murmurs. Also taking time to be aware of the breed specific laws (BSL) that are being passed. You should too! Before you think of purchasing a bully breed make sure you check with your state or local county ordinance. Many states are prejudice to this breed and others. What's hurting this breed is not the breed itself, BUT THE OWNERS We show our dogs from time to time, for fun. Now, we are advocates about home placement with puppies. It is our job to protect our dogs and any puppies that we may produce in the future. We produce healthy, conformationally correct Am staffs. And only choose, the best homes for our Am staffs.
